Dental Bonding

Bonding is the placement of "space age" plastic over the teeth to enhance their appearance. The process involves placing a composite resin on the surface of the tooth. This process can accomplish many of the same results as porcelain veneers. It is minimally invasive (the least invasive of all the choices), can be easily altered or repaired, is less expensive, and gives an immediate result.

The disadvantages are that the tensile and compressive strengths of the material are less than porcelain (this means where it's used is most important), it can pick up stains from food and drink a bit more (with proper oral hygiene it is still excellent) and it takes a very high skill level from the dentist placing the material to get an exceptional result.
