Immediate Implants

If you’re missing teeth, you want immediate care. Nobody wants to face her friends and coworkers with an incomplete smile. In addition, tooth loss can cause remaining teeth to shift out of place, increase the risk of decay or disease, and result in bone loss. With immediate dental implants, you can have the implant placed the same day as the extraction – so less time is taken out of your busy schedule.

Dr. Hamburg works closely with an oral surgeon during the implant process. With immediate dental implants, the full procedure is performed in one visit. The oral surgeon extracts the tooth or teeth and then places the implant at that same visit. Dr. Hamburg can then mount a temporary crown, bridge, or denture atop the implant post(s).

With immediate implants, you leave our office with a full smile. No waiting months for the implant to heal before receiving a new tooth. However, you will need to follow-up with our office, so we can ensure the procedure’s success and eventually place your permanent restoration. Immediate implants aren’t right for every patient, so Dr. Hamburg will consult with you to determine if this option is right for you.
